Jackie is a senior in Earth Systems on the Biosphere track and a coterminal master’s student in Earth Systems, Environmental Communication. She is passionate about conservation and storytelling and plans to pursue a career in science journalism. She decided on Earth Systems after spending her sophomore fall with the Wrigley Field Program in Hawaii, a field course that introduces students to earth science and research. During her junior year at Stanford, Jackie helped promote environmental education for 4th and 5th grade girls as the Communication Coordinator for a program called Girls Learning Environment and Energy (GLEE). In the summer following her junior year, she conducted research on drought-stressed redwoods in Northern California. Outside of academics, Jackie is a counselor for the Sexual Heath Peer Resource Center (SHPRC) on campus. She loves listening to podcasts, Netflix binging, Chipotle (always with guac), and beach volleyball.
