Megan graduated in 2011 with a joint J.D.-M.S., and is pursuing her goal of a public interest career in natural resources law and policy. While she was as E-IPER student, Megan's program focused on water and energy, particularly in the context of international natural resource management, as well as coasts and oceans. At Stanford, Megan was Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Journal of Law, Science & Policy; served on the Executive Board of the Energy Law Society; was a member of Stanford Law's International Human Rights Pro Bono Project; a Public Interest Fellow; and a member of Stanford Law's Bhutan Law & Policy Project. Megan earned her BA Magna cum laude in 2007 from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
Megan's past research activities include dam development and water resource management contracts in Nepal; the human right to water; rights to water in South Africa; tribal levies and taxation in South Africa, takings issues in planning for sea level rise on the California Coast; the Clean Water Act; and the Magnuson Stevens Fishery Conservation & Management Act.
