Jonathan has spent his time at Stanford continuously working to make it a better and more inclusive place for students. Jonathan has significantly impacted many Stanford communities, in particular focusing his efforts on the Black, Native, and LGBTQIA+ communities. His work with the Diversity and First-Generation Office has allowed him to use his activist organizing skills to work with the University to increase diversity and inclusion across many different spaces on campus. As an Earth Systems major, Fisk's interests and work align closely with his commitment to justice and change. As a student, Fisk has been a part of many social justice / public service organizations, such as being a long-term member of the NAACP and working with the Transgender Gender-Variant Intersex Justice Project in San Francisco. Further, as an RA in Ujamaa he showed his dedication to creating a welcoming and supportive space for the Black community, in particular for freshman. Earth Systems is fortunate to have him as a student because he brings with him a skill set for organizing activist movements on campus and his dedication to making social change and increasing inclusivity have created a more positive community for all at Stanford.
