Geochronology and Thermochronology:

Determining the ages of eruptions, magma emplacement, metamorphism, faulting, cooling, uplift and exhumation in the support of geologic field-based studies; and answering questions about sediment provenance and the thermal history of basins through cooling ages of individual sedimentary grains.
