Prior to 2001, the School supported the older "thinnet" ethernet hardware standard, which used coaxial cabling, and the "LocalTalk" hardware standard, which provides a simple slow speed (240 kilobits per second) connection on ordinary telephone wiring for printers and older Macintosh computers.
The School no longer supports these "legacy" network hardware systems. If you have a computer that only has one of these older hardware connection jacks, you must purchase an appropriate adapter to connect it to the School's network. Contact the School's network manager for assistance.
