Brief Background: Italian native, Tiziana Vanorio held a Ph.D in Geophysics and Volcanology with major in Petrophysics in 1998and a Laurea Degree in Geology in 1992, both from the University of Naples 'Federico II', Italy. After graduation Tiziana firstjoined the Stanford Rock Physics Laboratory working on the rock physics properties of clays and of volcanic rocks then, she movedon to work for the Unité Mixte de Recherche Géosciences Azur - CNRS & University of Nice, France. While at Géosciences Azur, shefocused her scientific interests on developing ways to use rock physics knowledge to bridge the gaps between passive seismic imagingand its interpretation in terms of rock physics properties at depth. In June 2005, Tiziana joined again the Stanford Rock Physics groupas Research Associate managing the Rock Physics Laboratory and monitoring the student's work in the lab. Her research will includeexperimental and theoretical studies of rock properties (storage, transport, acoustic...) and their application to reservoirs and geodynamics.Page under construction.....it will be updated SOON!
