Installation Instructions for ASMWIN 6.0


Windows XP

Download the file setup.exe.  To download this file, use the web page
and save the link for Windows XP users.  To install this file, run or
double click on the copy of setup.exe that you have just dowloaded.
This is the only version of ASMWIN that will work with Windows XP.

Unfortunately, the ASMWIN help file/utility cannot be accessed from
the pull down Help menu within ASMWIN in this version of the program.
If you try to access the help file from within the program, you will
get an error.  To access the help file in this version, go to the
Start Menu then select Programs > Aquifer Simulation Model > ASMWIN
Help.  So, you will be able to access the help file, but not through
the Help pull down tab in the program.


All other Windows

Download the file asm60.zip.  To download this file, use the web page
and save the link for all other Windows users.  To install this file,
unzip the asm60.zip file using WinZip or Aladdin.  Then run or double
click on the file setup.exe.  The Help pull down tab will work in this
version of ASMWIN for all non-XP users.
