Welcome to the Stanford Hydrogeology Web Site!

The Stanford Hydrogeology program, which leads to an M.S., Engineer, or Ph.D. degree in Geological and Environmental Sciences, balances research in both purely scientific and the applied aspects of groundwater resources. Most student research projects combine field work with numerical modeling. Click on the figures in the research section below to find out more.

Current Research Topics

Hydraulic Connections

Identifying fracture-zone geometry using simulated annealing and hydraulic-connection data

Water Resource Policy Evaluation

Water Resource Policy Evaluation Using Integrated Hydrological/Economic Modeling

Transfer Function Approaches

A Type Transfer Function Approach for Pesticide Leaching Assessments
