The Department of Geophysics and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University represent a center of excellence in radar, exploration and near surface geophysics, and the mechanics and dynamics of Earth and planetary systems. And the Stanford School of Earth, Energy, and Environmental Sciences has several research group focused on Understanding Ice. This provides a unique and exciting intellectual environment within which to study and practice Radio Glaciology.
