The School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences offers generous financial packages. All doctoral candidates are supported fully (stipend and tuition) for at least three quarters of the first year. Support typically continues at the same level in subsequent years, contingent on satisfactory academic progress and in accordance with the policies of individual departments and programs. This support normally consists of a combination of fellowships and research and teaching assistantships. Students with external awards are supplemented to department levels as needed.
While financial support is not guaranteed for master's students in all programs, most master's-level students are able to secure funding from their program or advisor.
Graduate students with internal or external support are also eligible for a university health insurance subsidy based on their level of support.
