Al Gore, "Peril and Opportunity: Solving the Climate Crisis and Reinvigorating Democracy"
Former Vice President Al Gore will give the first annual Stephen H. Schneider Memorial Lecture in honor of Stephen H. Schneider, the late Stanford professor and world-renowned climate scientist. Gore will discuss climate change and democracy in his talk and then take questions from students.
"Al Gore worked closely with Steve to sound the alarm about climate change, long before the average person understood there was a problem," said Terry Root, a senior fellow at the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment who collaborated with her late husband Steve Schneider on understanding environmental consequences of climate change.
