Nicola Ulibarri, PhD Candidate

Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment & Resources

Nícola is an interdisciplinary social scientist who focuses on finding public planning and decision-making practices that are environmentally and socially sustainable. She has expertise in collaborative environmental planning, policy and management, water resources management, and mixed-methods approaches to research and evaluation.

Philip Womble, JD/PhD Student

Philip is a second year student at Stanford Law School and in E-IPER.  Philip studies water resource management in the western United States.  His current work focuses on law and policy mechanisms and conservation planning tools to improve instream flow water rights transfers.


Valentina Zuin, PhD Candidate

Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment & Resources

Vale studies water service delivery in peri-urban areas in developing countries. She is interested in understanding how and under what conditions utilities serve the poor and how alternative delivery mechanisms (water resale, small scale providers) can be better integrated with the service utilities provide.
