I am an interdisciplinary scholar who uses social, political, and technical perspectives to find sustainable planning and decision-making processes. I received my PhD from the Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources in 2015. My dissertation evaluated the environmental outcomes of a collaborative process for licensing hydropower facilities in the US. My professional life has spanned the public and non-profit sectors, including work with the US Department of the Interior (Region IX), the World Bank, and Amigos Bravos, a grassroots river-protection nonprofit in New Mexico.
