Jared is a joint MS/JD student interested in the effects of climate change on freshwater resources. Jared graduated from Swarthmore College with a degree in Biology and a minor in History. After college, he worked as a Research Associate at the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) in Washington, D.C., working primarily on issues related to wetlands regulation. At Stanford, Jared spent a year working with Stanford Law School's Environmental Law Clinic, served for two years on the board of the Environmental Law Society, and is an editor of the Stanford Law Review. In the summer of 2008, Jared worked for the US Department of Justice in the Environmental Crimes Section. During the summer of 2009, he worked at the Washington, D.C., office of Hogan & Hartson, and at the San Francisco office of the Natural Resources Defense Council. Outside of school, Jared enjoys running, hiking, tennis, and other excuses to get outdoors.
