ERE Students Awarded at SPE International Student Paper Contest

October 16, 2017
2017 SPE International Paper Contest winners Wenyue Sun and Noe Pollack

Wenyue Sun won first place in the PhD Division and Noe Pollack took 3rd place in the MS Division at the SPE International Student Paper Contest. "My goal of this research is to develop a novel data-space approach that enables efficient uncertainty assessment of subsurface flow problems, without using the traditional complex and time consuming history matching procedures. The developed approach (data-space inversion) is very general and we have applied it to both reservoir production forecasting and CO2 storage problems," Wenyue says.
