Anna Wietelmann (Earth Systems BS '16, MS '17)

Along with participating in various public service endeavors around campus, Anna is also familiar with the interworkings of the Haas Public Service Center. She has been involved in SOOP, the Stanford Outdoor Outreach Program for the past year, and is currently one of the co-presidents of the group. SOOP is a student-run organization whose mission is to enhance interpersonal relationships, foster community, and instill personal confidence in San Francisco Bay Area youth through outdoor experiences. Anna is also the public service liaison for the Earth Systems Program and truly knows the ins and outs of public service opportunities on campus. Anna is truly dedicated to engaging others in the learning process, on and off campus, and especially in outdoor environments. She is also interested in pursuing public service related work this summer in Alaska.
