A Consulting Faculty with the Basin and Petroleum System Modeling Group at Stanford, Allegra spent 5.5 years at the U. S. Geological Survey following receipt of a Ph.D. from the MIT-WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography. Her research at the USGS focused on building computerized three-dimensional models of sedimentary basins, assessment of undiscovered oil and gas resources in California, and potential field analysis. She served as a member of the AAPG Research Committee and as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Geophysical Research-Solid Earth. She is the editor of USGS Professional Paper 1713.


Oliver Schenk,

Department of Geological & Environmental Sciences

Oliver is a Geologist and Petroleum Systems Analyst at Schlumberger Center of Excellence for Petroleum Systems Modeling (formerly IES) in Aachen, Germany. He is currently project manager for the Alaska North Slope multiclient study, which constitutes the first major 3D petroleum system modeling effort based on a regional-scale geologic model. Oliver received MS and PhD degrees in geology from the Technical University in Aachen, Germany, with the main emphasis in structural geology and microtectonics.
