Network registration form

Last revision May 26, 2016

Smartphones, tablet computers, and any workstation running Microsoft Windows 10, 8, or 7, Apple Mac OS X, or a desktop Linux distribution must register via the faster ITS network self-registration system, not by using this form.

Use this form to request network registration for servers, computers running other operating systems not supported by self-registration, printers, webcams, or unusual network devices that are based primarily in Earth Sciences. You will receive email notification once the registration process is complete.

Computers running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, SE, ME, NT, 2000, XP, or Vista may not be directly connected to the Earth Sciences network. All of these older versions of Windows contain serious security holes that will never be fixed because Microsoft has ceased supporting them. Either upgrade old Windows versions to at least Windows 7, or consult with the School network administrator about purchasing an inexpensive hardware firewall to isolate the older Windows computer and protect it from hackers.
