From 2005-2009, we offered this workshop on Mercury in the Environment for high school science teachers, funded by the National Science Foundation. We are seeking additional funding to offer this workshop in the future. Combining science research and educational pedagogy, teachers spent four days learning about mercury and developing lessons to teach in their classrooms. The workshop used the innovative scientific findings of the Environmental Molecular Science Institute to design lesson plans to teach current science curricula. To virtually participate, you can watch the presentations at the Learning Center. Also, you can download lessons created by teacher participants.
