Abstract:

The Cerro Prieto IV power plant is the newest power plant in Cerro Prieto field, it started the production commercial generating in 2000, at present the entire installed capacity of generation in the geothermal field of Cerro Prieto is 720MW, the plant C.P.IV has a capacity of 100MW distrib-uted in four units of 25 MW each one, these units are fed by the steam produced by twenty wells approximately, this article presents the information of electrical energy generation through four years, as well as it mentions the principal operative problems that have registered in this Power Plant.
