Abstract:

This paper presents some preliminary analytical and numerical results for two-phase(water/steam) flow in fractured porous media. The influences of fracture separation and Of cOuntry rock perFneability are examined quantitatively These parametric calcuiations delineate those regions in which such a system may be treated as an equivalent porous medium and those in which_unt must be taken of the matrix region / fracture zone character of fractured geotherrnal reservoirs.
