Abstract:

Injection strategy had been conducted in the Matsukawa vapor-dominated geothermal field. In order to trace the injectate flow, alcohols were injected into the reservoir as two-phase tracers. We used four alcohols (methanol, ethanol, i-propanol, and n-propanol) and detected their returns for each test. The arrival time and returned mass showed preferential flow paths in the reservoir.
