Abstract
There are a growing number of studies of heat and temperature distribution in the crust that are indicative of pore fluid movement redistributing energy. In the subsurface there are incidental expressions of pore fluid flow: mineralization, hydrocarbon migration, tilted oil/water contacts, sediment compaction.
