Description and Interpretation of Transient Well Pressure Tests at the Cerro Prieto Geothermal Field

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta la aplicacion de pruebas de dos gastos en pozos del campo geotermico de Cerro Prieto, como herramienta en la determinacioh de panlmetros f(sicos del yacimiento. Ademas, datos de una prueba efectuadaen un POlO localizado en el area este denominada como Cerro Prieto II, as( como. tambien los resultados de la interpretacion obtenida mediante el uso de un modelo conocido.
Tambien los datos obtenidos durante la prueba de interferencia realizada con dos pozos en el area antes mencionada y el procedimiento utilizado durante el desarrollo de dichas pruebas. Como punto final del trabajo se presentan los comentarios y conclusiones.

This paper discusses the use of two-rate flow well tests in the Cerro Prieto Geothermal Field, as a method to determine physical reservoir parameters. Data .from a test performed in a well located in the eastern region called Cerro Prieto II are presented, as well as the results of the interpretation obtained by using a known model.
Also discussed are the data gathered from an interference test between two wells in the above mentioned area, and the procedures followed during these tests. Finally, comments and conclusions based on this work are presented.
