Abstract
An equilibrium simulation algorithm and a computer program were developed for the determination of the bubble point, the partial pressure profiles and the corresponding equilibrium solubility in a thermal or geothermal well. The developed program computes the bubble point and the profiles using the measured gas separation and other data. Organic compounds that control corrosion and scaling have been investigated for thermal and industrial water systems. The inhibition efficiency of these chemicals depends on many factors which include the number of adsorption sites and their charge density, molecular size and made of interaction with the metal surface. The corrosion and scale inhibiting properties of these chemicals have been studied by different methods via weight loss, potentiostatic polarization, scale control and surface imaging method.
