Geophysical Demonstration of Geothermal Geological Conditions in Beijing Olympic Park

Abstract

The data of a few geothermal wells and some geophysical prospecting have been collected and analyzed in this paper. Based on these data, geothermal exploration history in the area of the Olympic Park is reviewed, geological conditions of the geothermal field are discussed, and the occurrence of geothermal resource in the area is interpreted. The prospects of geothermal resource in the area are rather good. It is forecasted that the well head temperature of geothermal water will be higher than 60?; and the production capacity of geothermal well will be about each 1500m3/d. It is suggested that further geophysical exploration should be carried out and a few geothermal exploration wells should be drilled in the area so that there will be a sound basis for the geothermal development in the area.
