Abstract

Normal uses of low enthalpy geothermal energy are related with heating purposes as are (Fig.1): - Space heating and domestic hot water. - Agricultural applications of heat; - Aquaculture. - Industrial applications of heat, like hot water, drying etc. - Desalination of sea or brackish water. - Combination of some or all listed consumers (district heating systems). - Some other non characteristic uses (snow melting, etc.). However, there is not only one technology for extracting the heat from the geothermal resource and its supply to concrete user. Each one of listed purposes uses particular sets of already developed technology(ies) in order to meet the concrete users
