Abstract
Lithuarua is a country with an area of 65 300 sq km and 3 71 mtllion populatton (1998) The average yearly, January and July temperatures are 67% -49?C. and 17?C correspondingly Space heating of houses is therefore needful from October to April The annual final energy consumptton in Lithuarua is 51 5 GJ per capita (1997) Lithuania is located at the western margin of the East European Preriphean Craton with a high potential of geothermal energy
