Reservoir Engineering Database and Computer Program Links in Philippine Geothermal, Inc.

Abstract

A database always works for the developers but not ahways for the user. Functionality usaaa%lyd epends on the knowledge of the users io the use of the computer and the somare. At Philippine Geothennal, Inc., different people used and developed their own Reservoir Engineehng databases, producing n um ero us xmions of the same fundamental information. So as to produce a common working database q&m, PGI Reservoir Engineering has developed computer programs that link different soflware programs and databases. PGI Reservoir Engineers are using an Oracle database as their main information ni?pository. Oracle is linked to soffware suck as Excel8 Oil Field Manager (OFM) and Reservoir Engineehng Simulation tools. The database $inks result in easy data access, man@uIation, graphing and analysis which enhances PWs 8hijity to rapidly respond to reservoir management issues.
