Abstract
Any oxygen isotope shifted rock volume exactly defines a past throughput of water. is derived that relates the throughput of an open system to the isotope shift of reservoir rock and present-day output. Ngawha reservoir rock and the small, high 6 output are best accounted for by a magmatic water source.
