Abstract
Hot water ascends and laterally through the greywacke and argillite rocks, which comprise the reservoir of the Ngawha Geothermal Field, by way of closely spaced (about 15 per narrow (0.5 to but occasionally up to 3cm wide), continuous and discontinuous joints which are oriented in at least three directions:
