Abstract
The work presents a general overview ofthe geothermal energy use in Romania for the last 5 years. The overview covers both the deep geothermal sources and applications, and the shallow geothermal applications based on heat pumps technology. Latest investments in deep and shallow geothermal are underlined, together with the financing programs and legislation bills.
