Abstract
In south central British Columbia the earth ' s crust was heated 50 Ma BP by an extensive thermal event. Measurements throughout the area show that the terrestrial heat flow is greater than 70 In this region the greatest potential for high crustal temperatures exists in deep sedimentary basins, and in crustal rocks having a high heat generation. presented .
