Abstract:

In order to evaluate geothermal reserves, it is necessary to estimate the porosity-thickness product of the reservoir. This paper deals with the method for estimating the porositythickness product of geothermal reservoirs by means of combining well interference and pressure buildup tests. A field study from the Chingshui geothernal area in Taiwan is given to illustrate the application of the method.
