Abstract
A flow system by using ion-exclusion chromatography and continuous hydride absorption spectrophotometry was developed for the simultaneous determination of arsenious and arsenic in geothermal water. The simplicity and precision were satisfactory. The sampling rate was 5.5 Total concentration of arsenic in 25 samples collected from geothermal areas in Kyushu, Japan was in the - 4.6 and 80 - 100 of the total arsenic were present as The arsenic concentration in 12 silica scale samples was in the range 6.28 - 284 The distribution of arsenic in silica scales was examined by selective chemical leaching method. The result suggested that the arsenic distributed dispersedly in various phases in siliea scales.
