Abstract

Using seven Hungarian projects operating or under realisation as case studies a PESTEL analysis has been carried out. Main problems involve frequent changes of political decision makers and tax investigators, changing regulations, no state guarantee funds for geothermal projects, and investors considering renewable energy as one homogenous industry.
