Abstract
The optimum development plan for geothermal and other natural resources is shown to be dependent upon several critical factors. By applying the exponential decline equation to describe well producing capacity, formulae are derived for the optimum number of wells as functions of size, well performance, costs and price. The optimum is also shown to be dependent on the definition of optimum.
