Abstract

Krasnodar region is a south region of Russia with population 5.5 million people, an area of 76.3 million km² and consumption of energy resources of 15.5 million tons of oil equivalent energy. Region provided by own energy resources only about 10%. Economic and resort development, and ecology constraints actualize the use of renewable energy. The region was explored 19 geothermal fields, in which drilled 90 wells 2-3 km deep, the potential capacity of which is 238 MW. Heating systems are single-circuit, open without reinjection. Designed and built the first stage of geothermal heating demonstration system of Rozovyi village with a population of 1000 people and capacity of 5 MW. The second phase of this system provides for reinjection. For the five cities in the region developed business plans geothermal heat and electricity supply, including using exploratory gas wells.
