Abstract
This paper considers including several reacting chemical species in a large scale numerical model of a geothermal reservoir. A method is developed to determine when a single-phase liquid converts to a two-phase liquidvapour mixture and vice versa in a fluid containing dissolved gases and solids. Finally these techniques are applied to a geothermal reservoir model and compare calculated chemical changes to those observed.
