Abstract:

A vapor-dominated reservoir is modelled as a uniform porous medium containing immobile water and mobile steam. Changes in concentrations of different gas species are used to determine the porosity and liquid saturation of the reservoir. The ėgrid method provides an incomplete analysis of this type of reservoir, either for water content or reservoir temperature . It is conjectured that the reservoirs of Kamojang and Darajat in Indonesia are significantly wetter than The Geysers, and consequently have greater fluid reserves per cubic kilometre.
