Abstract
The thermal source of discharges at both and Waihi have been reported as originating a single coherent located at depth. New chemical and isotopic data were obtained to an understanding of processes such as boiling and cooling observed in these fluids. geochemical interpretation of these processes shows that the primary upflow is towards the northwest boundary of the fieldbeneath an extensive area of steaming ground called Hipaua
