Abstract
Kyushu Electric Power and Mitsui Mining Company, Limited have jointly developed an apparatus for the abatement of in geothermal hot water and conducted experiments to assess its efficiency. The concentration of arsenic in the treated water meets the environmentalregulations of less than in Japan. Optimum efficiency of the apparatus could only be attained by the controls of the and of the dosed reagent. Removals on the order of 99%can be achieved.
