Abstract
The paper describes the theoretical feasibility of the scheme, utilizing the absorption heat transformer (AHT) to recover the geothermal waste heat by simulating the thermodynamic cycle of the LiBr/H2O AHT. The waste geothermal water at 50° as a driving heat can heat the hot water stream from 45° to 65-70°. Through the simulation, the span of three critical system parameters is obtained, which include the temperatures of outlet of waste geothermal water, inlet of cooling water, and outlet of hot water. With the definition, the heating-up character diagram of the system is established. The rationality of the span and the effects of the temperatures on the system performance are analyzed in detail. The results of analysis show that the scheme was feasible theoretically. The effects of variables as some other important parameters on the system performance are also analyzed.
