In this study, the analyses of two build-up tests, one before and the other after acidizing well KD-15 in the Kizildere geothermal field, Turkey, are presented. In the interpretation of these field tests besides conventional log-log and semi-log methods, modern methods such as pressure-derivative (logarithmic time rate of pressure) and nonlinear regression analysis are employed. It is shown that the use of modern analysis techniques in conjunction with conventional analysis techniques provides more reliable and accurate interpretation of geothermal well tests.
