Chemical characterization of geothermal waters of
Pannonian System from central region of Western
Plain of Romania is presented in this paper. Both
constituents like: Cl-, NO2-, NO3-, HCO3-, CO32-,
SO42-, PO43-, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+ and
microelements were found in these waters by using
various methods. Based on the chemical composition
these geothermal waters could be classified as
bicarbonate-sodium-chloride waters. This work is a
comparative study with Oradea geothermal area.
