Abstract
The injection of water pressure in a granitic rock mass has induced some microseismic events which were monitored with a 15 three components stations network. For large scale injections, the focal mechanism of this induced seismicity are fairly consistent with the regional stress field and can be use to map the pore pressure in the rock mass. It is argues here that in an opened fracture network like that of this rock mass, the location of the distant microseismicity is not correlated with the main flow zones but with the most poorly connected fractures.
