Abstract
Sound underlying economics and beneficial contractual relationships are the fundamentals of any project financing. Given these essential elements, the successful transaction must properly allocate the costs, benefits and risks to the appropriate participants in the most efficient manner. The authors will examine four instances in which project financing offered optimal solutions to this problem. In a series of transaction for the successive development of the 70 MW Ormesa Complex in the Imperial Valley of California.
