Abstract
This paper considers a preliminary evaluation of the Mexican low enthalpy geothermal potential on the basis of the actually available geological and geochemical data. It also describes the most relevant aspects of the first field experiments carried out in Mexico on geothermal binary cycle systems a the geothermal field of Los Azufres Michoacan.
