Abstract
Kyushu Electric Power Company Inc. (KEPCO) has been conducting geothermal developments around Kujyu volcanic area in Kyushu island since the 1950s, and developed the Otake power station of rated output 12.5 MW in 1967 and the Hatchobaru power station rated output of 55 MW in 1977. All of the separated hot water is being reinjected at these power stations, and is causing interesting phenomena. Various kinds of exploration data, drilling data and variations of geothermal fluid characteristics show pretty good coincidences with a new reservoir model.
