Abstract
Highly permeable rhyolite formations overlying the western Broadlands (Ohaaki) geothermal reservoir in New Zealand have been extensively pressure tested. There is clear evidence that there are two areas of rhyolite, a small one directly over the Ohaaki reservoir, and a much larger on outside this region. The two areas are not in good hydrological connecting.
